MarCom Shout Out

Lauren Vargas who led our team through the Social Media Challenge Brainstorming Session gave us a shout out on her blog, Communicators Anonymous:
Earlier this week, I had the privilege of talking to one of the American Heart Association affiliate marketing communication teams about integrating social media tools in their programs. Great group of communicators - open minds and excited! The day before our session, many new tools were introduced to them by various speakers. I could see their minds were working overtime to capture all the opportunities where they could implement these shiny new tools.*
*Note: I should be within the rules since I only used a part of Lauren's post, gave credit and linked to the original.

While I'm on the topic of sharing other blogs, here are a couple of other useful sites I've discovered:
Ladies and Gentleman, we have just about six months to generate 25,000 GRFW registrations. We MUST hit that goal -- how can these tips help you reach your target? What else are you doing to reach new potential registrants? Please post a comment to let me know.

House of Cards

Just when you thought you'd had enough of social media, we'll have an extra session as part of our mini-team meeting on Wednesday.

I've invited Lauren Vargas, president of the Dallas Social Media Club to meet with us. But don't worry, this will be all fun and games -- literally. Lauren will lead us in a game of social media cards. I don't really know much more about it but it sounds fun. Sandy Levy will likely win, yelling BLACKJACK! or BINGO! but the only prize is the knowledge of how to better employ these tools in pursuit of your goals. So...we all win.
