The American Red Cross is a great example of a nonprofit harnessing the power of social media to drive the goals/mission of the organization.Why do I believe they are such a good example? Because I clicked through two of their tweets this week to learn more about issued that could affect me and my life:

Awesome example of how a non-profit finds the right new media niche for their mission. I know there's a 'right fit' for AHA. Would love to hear anyone's ideas about that!
